Texarkana – An appeal has been denied for a man convicted in a Greenville murder case.
Andreas Morris was convicted last June for the murder of Cordarian Kelly. On Tuesday, the Sixth District Court of Appeals in Texarkana denied Morris' appeal.
He had alleged his conviction last year was not supported by the evidence. However, the appeals court said it believes a rational jury could have found the essential elements of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

Attorneys for Burns Architecture Incorporated have also filed a denial of the claims raised by Mary Bruner, who filed a plea in intervention in the suit in January.
A hearing regarding Bruner's call for a default judgment against the architects, which had been scheduled for Thursday, was canceled earlier this week. A hearing on the latest motions had not been set as of Wednesday.
