Appeal denied in area murder case

Andreas Morris was convicted last June for the murder of Cordarian Kelly. On Tuesday, the Sixth District Court of Appeals in Texarkana denied Morris' appeal.

He had alleged his conviction last year was not supported by the evidence. However, the appeals court said it believes a rational jury could have found the essential elements of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt.
