Capitol murder indictments have been filed against two North Texas residents.

The Hunt County grand jury Friday indicted David Earl Hickman, of Royse City, and Tracie Danielle Alphin, of Quinlan for the shooting death last October of Jason Herrington of Quinlan. Both remain in custody at the Hunt County Jail, each in lieu of $1 million bond. No arraignment dates had yet been scheduled.

Hunt County – There were reports of a possible UFO over Hunt County this weekend. At least one civilian and three law enforcement officers reported seeing an unidentified flying object north of Greenville Saturday night. Similar sightings were also reported near The Colony in Denton County, according to Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks.

Commerce – Two search warrants executed by Commerce Police over the weekend have resulted in four arrests.

The first warrant was performed Sunday morning, according to Commerce Police Chief Kerry Crews.

Hunt County – A long awaited capitol murder trial is set to begin this month in Hunt County.

A final pretrial hearing for Brandon Dale Woodruff is set for Monday afternoon, at which time the court will handle any pending motions, including a recent motion to suppress evidence filed by the defense team. Jury selection is set for Tuesday morning.

Woodruff has pleaded not guilty to killing his parents, Dennis Woodruff and Norma, inside their home just northeast of Royse City in Oct., 2005.

Hunt County – A gag order is being sought in connection to a Hunt County capitol murder case.

Paris – The Paris Police Department is now making crime reports more easily accessible to citizens through the internet.

Officials have announced the implementation of the service, which partners with 16 other Texas cities through CrimeReports.com.
