Hey guys its Gaby, I just wanted to drop by my last goodbye.  I want to thank everyone so much for supporting Lions After Dark and Your Station 88.9 KETR. 

Hey guys it's Gaby and I'm pleased to announce that Lions After Dark is a finalist in a national competition!

Thanks so much to Lucia Garduno for coming in tonight and talking to us about the Zumba Fitness classes available at the rec center! She will be back next week to talk about the Fusion Dance Crew on campus! So Excited!

Lions After Dark is back for lunch!  It's gonna be me and Jasmine at the  Rayburn Student Center this Friday from 11am to 1pm.

This is exciting I hope we get a lot of people out there checking it out!  We're gonna have the hottest trends and awesome entertainment news for this weekend! 
 

Today we're taking a look back at an older show. Here's the show from May 11th. 2011 with rising rapper SLR on the campus of Texas A&M University - Commerce.

Here's the Lions After Dark show for November 28th.  We had Mikey live in studio with Power Play, a segment with the scoop on gaming! Plus we have those workout tips on how to work off that Thanksgiving meal!

1. Hot Tea –Tea is one of the most popular hot beverages around the world. sometimes a cup of chamomile is nice before bed time. Or maybe a hot chai tea, green tea, lemon tea, any tea!!! There are so many variations it’s impossible to list them all.

2. Coffee –Oh the possibilities!! There are so many types you’re bound to find you a favorite. I like adding Vanilla ice cream to my hot coffee.

3. Hot Chocolate –With or without marshmallows? One of our fans prefers it made with Abuelita Chocolate, others like Swiss Miss Or how about with a little Sugar Cane Rum. To add some extra flavor, try a dash of Kahlúa!

Gaby's Holiday Shopping Tips!

Don't get carried away this season! Here's some tips I've arranged for you guys! ^_^

1. - Carry Cash! - don't get carried away with your own debit card carry cash, and when you run out you are done for the day! Also carry big bills because they are usually harder to break.

2. - Know your credit cards! Make sure you know your interest on your credit cards and beware of which you use. Read the fine print before you do some big shopping on them cards!

3. - Keep track of your spending. Keep your receipts and add them all up at the end of each shopping day!

1. Snickers -- A candy bar with substance. These peanut-filled chocolate bars are filling enough that kids may only be able to eat a few of them. Then again, you shouldn't underestimate the appetite of Halloween-crazed kids.

2. Nerds -- Basically, they are pure sugar coated with sugar. Nerds can be both fun and annoying due to the obnoxious rattling sound made by shaking the box. The best are the standard strawberry flavor.

3. M&Ms -- It wouldn't be Halloween without M&Ms. They are ingrained in our cultural psyche. If sugar and chocolate were medicine, they would come in the form of M&M's. Also, it can be funny to see how picky kids are about the color of the candy coating.
