'Insured' Host

Phyllis Ryser, a native of northeast Texas, is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and of Texas A&M University-Commerce. She acquired a small insurance agency in 1982. It soon became apparent to her that good insurance protection is essential to a person’s financial well being. She learned it is important to sell insurance policies, but it can be just as important for the client to understand how the protection works. In 2001 she became a charter member of the National Society of Agents for Consumer Education. This organization is dedicated helping consumers understand how to protect themselves and their families with insurance and other products. Phyllis first worked in radio with KFYN Radio on the Town and Country Show in Bonham, Texas. Currently Phyllis is writing a book on consumer protection with Michael Jans, president of Insurance Profits Systems, called Protect Yourself.
