Alphin convicted, sentenced to life in prison

GREENVILLE - Following closing arguments Friday, a Hunt County Jury took about 30 minutes to find Tracie Danielle Alphin guilty of murdering Jason Harrington in 2008.

The prosecution was not seeking the death penalty; therefore Alphin was automatically sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Alphin was charged with committing the crime while trying to steal Harrington’s car. Her alleged co-actor, David Earl Hickman, had previously pleaded guilty and testified against Alphin during the trial.
