Another local community college raises tuition

SHERMAN -  The Grayson College Board of Trustees elected Tuesday night to raise the cost per credit hour by an additional $4 for in district students and $7 for out-of-district students.

The tuition hike is anticipated to boost revenue by $363,000. The College sites a decrease in funding for community colleges with flat or decreasing enrollment.

In March, the Paris Junior College Board of Regents also voted to raise rates by no more than $5 per semester credit hour, which is also expected to bring in an additional $360,000.
