Attorney appointed for suspect in pitt-bull robbery

By Scott Harvey, Brad Kellar

Commerce – A Commerce robbery suspect is appointed an attorney following a Tuesday hearing.

17 year-old Larry Denel Clark, of Commerce, is charged with aggravated robbery in connection with a reported burglary, a theft of pit-bull puppies and an attack on the owner of the dogs.

Clark remained in custody in the Hunt County Jail as of Tuesday on $50,000 bond.

As KETR first reported earlier this week, Commerce Police were dispatched to an apartment in the 800 block of Roseanne last Thursday.

Upon arrival, the apartment tenant told officers she had returned home to find her residence burglarized and that five puppies, which had recently been born were missing, along with a cell phone, jewelry and other items.

Commerce Police Chief Kerry Crews says the woman was able to chase the men down and recover the dogs.

Two other suspects were reportedly also involved.
