Ali J. Burress, 28, remains missing after she crashed her car into a ditch near a Lamar County corn field around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Her car was located 15 miles south of Paris near County Road 14850 at approximately 10:30 a.m. according to reports. Delta County Sheriff Ricky Smith said her silver Toyota car was found well off State Highway 24 crashed behind Midway Fire Department.

Several local agencies including Delta County law enforcement and K-9 units spent 10-12 hours on Monday searching near Lake Creek and are continuing to search for Burris.

Burress reported the crash however she wasn’t able to tell authorities her exact location. Lamar County Sheriff’s Office describes the area where her vehicle was found as “very remote” as they utilized the GPS on her phone to find the location in the dark. Law enforcement tried returning her call but it appeared to be decharged.

She is described as a white female, 5 foot tall and 120 pounds with blonde hair with reddish or brown highlights. Authorities believe she was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans shorts and no shoes.

At this point no foul play is suspected however Burress might be suffering from a possible head injury from this accident.
