The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program- Week 2

The Commerce Tigers hosted the Princeton Panthers Friday night at Commerce's Memorial Stadium, but only one team had a big showing on the field.

Princeton's scoring started late in the opening quarter, with a 41 drive resulting in a touchdown, but the point after was no good. 0-6 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, The Panthers intercepted a pass by Commerce, and returned it 32 yards for another touchdown, plus the extra point, making the score 0-13 with 11 minutes left in the first half. Later in the second quarter, The Panthers scored on a 7-play drive, and added another 7 points to their lead: 0 to 20 with 4:45 left in the first half. The Panthers proceeded to put more points up after a lengthy, 97 yard drive which culminated in another TD and extra point: Commerce-0 Princeton-27 at halftime.

Commerce was unable to mount any sort of a comeback after the break, failing to stop Princeton on 2 additional touchdowns, one with a two-point conversion tacked on. At the final seconds ticked down, the Commerce Tigers found themselves on the losing end of a blowout to Princeton.

Final score: Commerce- 0 Princeton- 42.
