Bonham and Paris Museums to Offer Free Admission

Saturday's Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a ticket.

Museum-goers can download free tickets for two on the Smithsonian website. 

A map of event participants lists the Sam Rayburn House Museum in Bonham, the longtime home of the former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. An alumnus of Texas A&M University-Commerce, Rayburn served as speaker for 17 non-consecutive terms between 1940 and his death in 1961.

Also participating in Saturday's free admission day is the Sam Bell Maxey House in Paris and the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney.
