Branded Ranch Rodeo Saturday Benefits Community Seeds; Incubator Kitchen Opens Soon

Bert Cooper, director of Community Seedsin Lone Oak, says the organization benefits from the Branded Ranch Rodeo Saturday (May 19) at the Hopkins County Civic Center in Sulphur Springs.  A day full of family-oriented, Western activities begins at 10 a.m. and rodeo begins at 5.  Bert also reports that Community Seeds' incubator kitchen, where people will be able to make food for sale, is about 80 percent complete and is expected to open soon along with the organization's country store, in downtown Lone Oak.  Community Seeds is a faith-based, non-profit organization, "planting hope one family at a time."

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
