Chamber Board to address by-law to ensure fair practices

COMMERCE - The Commerce Chamber Board of Directors will consider possible expansion of its executive committee when they meet to consider amendments its by-laws Thursday.

It has been suggested the committee be expanded to ensure fair practices and avoid any ties in voting. According to the current by-Laws the Executive Committee consists of the President, Executive Vice-President, immediate past President, and Treasurer/Secretary. In order to expand the Executive Committee it has been suggested that the Treasurer/Secretary position be split into two separate offices; treasurer and secretary.
