Commerce recognizes Severe Weather Awareness Week

By Kevin Jefferies

Commerce – The Commerce Division of Emergency Management wants residents to be prepared for severe weather whenever it may strike. Commerce Mayor Sheryl Zelhart joins Governor Rick Perry in declaring this week as Severe Weather Awareness week. You can be informed and alert to the onset of severe weather. Important points to remember are a tornado watch means a tornado may be possible, while a warning means a tornado has actually been spotted. And check local broadcasts stations, such as 88-9 KETR, for the latest weather updates.
You can learn more about severe weather preparedness at the Commerce City website at www.commerce-tx.com.
