Conneticut Sun Clip Dallas Wings, 92-75 (slideshow)

The Dallas Wings (14-10) fell to the Connecticut Sun (13-12) 92-75, giving the Wings back to back losses after a tough stretch of games before the All-Star break.

The Wings were led by All-Star Center Liz Cambage who quietly notched another double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. All-Star teammate Skylar Diggins-Smith collected just 8 points, possibly due to fatigue from travel, and leading the league with 34.3 minutes per game.

The Connecticut Sun saw Shekinna Stricklen post 24 points, 8-for-11 from beyond the arc, and led the all around scoring effort for the Sun. All-Star Chiney Ogwumike, and Houston-native, found herself in foul trouble early and was later ejected from the game.

“I just told them to regroup themselves,” Wings head coach Fred Williams said. “We’ve got a couple days of practice here before they have about three days to be to themselves just like the rest of the league.”

Cambage and Diggins-Smith, will represent the Wings at the 2018 WNBA All-Star game at 2:30pm CST, Saturday July 28th in Minnesota.

Dallas’ next game after All-Star weekend will be July 31st. They’ll face off against the Chicago Sky at the College Park Center at 7pm CST.
