Christopher Holt performance in the KETR Studios.

It's been a while since anyone has heard new music  from the versatile Christopher Holt, but he's been quite busy. Since his last album release in 2010, Holt has taken on the role of touring guitarist with the legendary Don Henley, and recorded a ton of new material which became the double-album release Stargazer on the newly formed State Fair Records in Dallas.

Christopher spoke at length to Notably Texan about the changing music business, the new album (on which he plays almost every instrument), and he explained how the connection with Don Henley quickly blossomed into working relationship.

More about Christopher and his album are available through State Fair Records, and Holt shares many insights on his Tumblr page. Stargazer is available now on iTunes

Notably Texan airs weekdays from Noon-3 on KETR.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Matt has transitioned from a part-time worker and pupil of KETR, to the station’s Chief Announcer/Producer and supervisor of student broadcasters. A familiar voice of 88-9 KETR, Matt has hosted such shows as The Late Nite Lion, and can currently be heard as host of Notably Texan.
