– Candidates are continuing to file for the March Republican and Democratic Party Primary.
Republican State Senator Bob Deuell, of Greenville, has filed for re-election for District 2. Incumbent U.S. Representative Ralph Hall, of Rockwall, has also filed for re-election to House District 4, and is opposed by Dr. John Cooper, of Sulphur Springs, seeking the GOP nomination. No Democratic candidates had filed for either position as of Friday.
Republican U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall, of Rockwall, filed Sunday to seek re-election to a 15th term in the United States House of Representatives.
In Hunt County, Republican Judge John Horn, of Lone Oak, will seek re-election. He took office in January, 2007. Other filings include Incumbent 196th District Court Judge Joe Leonard, plus Republicans Randy Wineinger and Herman Orange for Hunt County Commissioner Precinct 2.
The last day to file for the March Primary is Jan. 4.
