Commerce – The Commerce City Council will have their final city budget work session tonight beginning at 5:30 at the Commerce Parks and Recreation Building. City Manager Bill Shipp said the council will also conduct a record vote on the tax rate.
SHIPP: Also on Thursday evening is called a special meeting as well, because the council at that time, in order to meet all the timelines for required public hearings, has to have a record vote on the tax rate. Really what that does is say that our intent is to adopt this tax rate.
Shipp also said the tax rate should remain unchanged from last year. The official rate will be adopted on September 28th.
