Greenville – An 18 year old Greenville man was killed in an early-morning accident Saturday. The accident occurred just north of downtown Greenville. Corey Marshall Swafford died when the car he was driving went into the air and hit a tree and a parked car before landing. Police reports say Swafford was traveling north in the 1600 block of Johnson Street when he struck a curb. The vehicle left the road and apparently became airborne, hitting a tree limb and the side of a '94 Honda Civic before landing upside down in the yard of a vacant house. Swafford was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
