Sulphur Springs, Greenville – Hundreds of spectators gathered Friday evening at the Hopkins County Courthouse in Sulphur Springs to hear Gov. Rick Perry speak at a TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Party Rally.
Also speaking at the event was U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall and Hopkins County Judge Cletis Milsap, among others.
The rally was a follow-up to the first TEA Party Rally held at the courthouse square on April 15, one of hundreds staged across the nation that day, to protest excessive government spending.
More than 100 people were also said to have gathered Friday in Greenville for their own Tea Party Rally, held at the corner of Wesley Street and Kari Lane.
