Hunt County – A Caddo Mills man with a fondness of construction equipment is being held in Hunt County Jail on $20,000 bond. 33-year-old John Marcus Ballard is charged with stealing a '95 Fiat-Allis Grader, a 2005 John Deere backup, and a '94 Caterpillar roller. Ballard failed to show for his original arraignment hearing and had his $1,000 bond revoked. An arrest warrant was issued, and he was taken into custody with the new $20,000 bond in place. Tentative trial date is in May.
Ballard faces two to twenty years in prison if convicted, and up to $10,000 in fines.
