Man keeps fire officials at bay with shotgun

By Kevin Jefferies

Hopkins County – A Hopkins County man held fire officials at bay with a shotgun after setting his house ablaze earlier this week. The man had set his house on fire after an argument with his children, then held firemen off with a 12 gauge shotgun while ammunition in the house began to detonate. The man fled into the woods as patrol cars arrived. The Hopkins County Sheriff's office knows the man, and is seeking a felony warrant for deadly conduct.
