GREENVILLE - A trial date has been set for one of two local men indicated in the July shooting death of Javon Newman, of Greenville.
Devon Eugene Royal has pleaded not guilty to the crime. He’ll face trial next June. Trial for a second suspect, Antonio Derrance Fletcher, has not been set but an interim hearing is scheduled later this month.
Both men were arrested in Dallas two days after the shooting at a local apartment complex.
