The Fannin County Sheriff's Department is investigating a "suspicious" death that occurred in a rural area north of Bonham over the weekend.
Sherman-based KXII-TV reports that a woman died early Sunday morning near the intersection of FM 273 and FM 1396. The report quotes Fannin County Sheriff Donnie Foster as saying that a vehicle was involved in the incident. A man has been taken into custody in connection with the case, the report said. The intersection is about two miles north of Lake Bonham.
Officials are withholding the names of the victim and the man in custody pending developments in the investigation.
