University and College
- Texas A&M University-Commerce has canceled classes and all events and non-essential services beginning 5 p.m. Thursday and continuing through Friday. This includes all campuses. All A&M-Commerce off-campus events will also be canceled beginning 5 p.m. Thursday and continuing through Friday.
- Paris Junior College will also close all facilities, including those in Greenville and Sulphur Springs, at 5 p.m. Thursday. Paris Junior College will remain closed through Friday, with all events canceled.
- Collin County Community College is closed Friday,
Canceled:
- Edgewood High School boys basketball tournament Thu.-Sat. (will not be rescheduled)
Postponed:
- Texarkana Bowl (Saturday's A&M-Commerce football game) has been rescheduled for Dec. 13.
- A&M-Commerce men's basketball game at Dallas Baptist has been rescheduled from Friday to 4 p.m. Dec. 16.
