Breanne Snyder & Jordan Neal

Senior setter Jordan Neal and junior outside hitter Breanne Snyder earned Lone Star Conference Co-Setter and Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Neal shares the setter honor with Marija Jovanovic of Midwestern State University and Snyder shares the offensive honor with Arielle Bond of Angelo State University.

This is Neal's fifth time earning setter of the week this season. Neal posted her 10th and 11th straight games with 40 plus assists versus A&M-International and A&M-Kingsville this past week. The Joshua, Texas native continues to lead the LSC in assists per set with 11.6 in her senior season. Neal has more assists than Texas Woman's, Midwestern State, Eastern New Mexico and Cameron do as teams so far this season.

Snyder earns LSC honors for the first time in her Lion career. Snyder set a new career high .533 hitting percentage versus A&M-International then set a new mark the next night, attacking at a .700 clip versus A&M-Kingsville. Her average of 3.83 kills per set from last week is a full kill higher than her season average.

With the LSC weekly honors, A&M-Commerce continues to be one of the top all-around programs in the conference through the 2013-14 athletic season, racking up 23 Player of the Week honors thus far. The Lions have had at least two players selected as their respective sport's Player of the Week each week while all seven A&M-Commerce fall sports have had at least one LSC weekly honors.

Neal, Snyder and the Lions have a full week ahead of them with three home matches to close out the 2013 regular season. On Tuesday the Lions face the visiting TexAnns of Tarleton State at The Field House. Tuesday night will also be senior for Neal and her fellow seniors; Kayla BondDakota Crockett and Ciara Holmes.

Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M travel to Commerce on Friday and Saturday for the final two games of 2013. Both matches are set to start at 7 p.m.
