Sulphur Springs Showcases New App

The City of Sulphur Springs is constantly finding new ways to attract visitors to the community from the renovation of the downtown Celebration Plaza to utilizing news and social media outlets. The latest enhancement the City is offering is the combined effort with KSST radio to bring everything to citizens and visitors in one location – a new app.

This new app can be found by searching “Simply Sulphur Springs,” looking for the City’s colorful Celebration logo, and downloading it. The app encompasses news from KSST radio, current notifications and weather, places to eat, lodging, shopping, events, attractions, and landmarks. However, it doesn’t end there – it has links to services through the City of Sulphur Springs, Sulphur Springs ISD, and Hopkins County. It is all beautifully documented in brilliant photos.

Its description says it best, “The official app for Sulphur Springs Texas, the Celebration City. Everything you need to plan your visit to Hopkins County in one place. Get news weather and sports from KSST Radio, report a found animal, and find out when your favorite band is playing and where. You can get info on the Historic Hopkins County Courthouse in the heart of Sulphur Springs, see where the famous Hopkins County Stew is made each fall, and much more.”

Achieving this app and insuring its functionality has been the City’s goal for quite some time. All the entities involved have been pleased with the progress and another channel for community development. The app is both Android and iPhone capable. Advertising opportunities are also available by contacting KSST. The station reports growing numbers in downloads since releasing the news – 95 iOS and 87 Android.
