KETR’s Fall 2015 Pledge Drive is underway! With a goal of financial sustainability, we can make sure that KETR is on the air for many years in Northeast Texas. Now through October 5, make your gift to help keep great public radio programming on the air in Northeast Texas sustainably.
KETR is now in a new fiscal year, which not only promises to bring you thousands of hours of quality programming, but will also present new challenges to keeping programming on the air sustainably. With increased fundraising minimums that have now been implemented, it’s now more important than ever to have support from the community. When this minimum of $150,000 in community support (i.e. you!) is raised, it will qualify KETR to continue to receive grant support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which provides KETR with a large part of its operating budget that brings you the programming you listen to and love.
The fundraising goal of the Fall Pledge Drive is to raise $40,000 and has been strategically set in order for KETR to meet its fiscal year 2016 fundraising goal of $150,000. Whatever your reason to tune in – from Morning Edition and All Things Considered, local and regional news, Notably Texan, The Diane Rehm Show, Commerce Tigers football, A&M-Commerce sports, severe weather coverage, and more – your support is absolutely vital to keep it on the air.
Please give what you can by making a one-time gift or by switching to a sustaining membership (the easiest way to support KETR!) Your monthly gift in any amount you choose automatically renews each year, meaning your membership is always current. It’s also one of the most impactful ways of supporting this station – your ongoing gift means KETR can count on your support now and in the future.
As a special incentive, each sustaining membership of $10 per month and up will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the members of KETR’s Development Advisory Board. That means your $10 per month will become $20, $20 will become $40, and so on! Your gift, combined with these matching funds, will bring KETR that much closer to attaining financial sustainability.
In addition, Texas A&M University – Commerce President Dr. Dan Jones and his wife Jalinna have graciously offered to match all gifts to KETR. So if you’d like to make just a one-time gift in support of this drive, it will also be matched dollar-for-dollar!
Whatever giving method you choose, your gift will be doubled and you’ll be making a real and audible impact right here in Northeast Texas. Your gift now will affirm all the listening you’ve done and will do, and makes it possible for others to discover and enjoy KETR as well!
