Two Texans Attacked in New Jersey

A confrontation at a central New Jersey hotel that left one Texas man dead and another critically injured appears to be a random attack, according to investigators. 30-year-old Chad Everette Robertson of Shoreacres was killed early Saturday when he tried to help a 29-year-old colleague from Houston who was being attacked by several people. The younger man, whose name was not disclosed, underwent emergency surgery and remained hospitalized Monday night. Robertson, a married father of 5, was pronounced dead at the scene.
