After significantly warmer temperatures settled into the region these past few weeks, the cold temperatures are definitely a wake-up call!
Some people woke up this morning to the sound of rain and sleet outside their windows. Most of North Texas received some sleet during the early morning hours, with no accumulations.
North of the region, in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska, Winter Weather Warnings are in place. Fortunately, the freezing line will not make it to our region, keeping the nasty travel weather away from us!
These temperatures shouldn't last us for very long, however.
Thursday calls for a 60 degree high for the region, with a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms in the morning hours.
Come Friday and Saturday, the clouds should leave the skies and give way to sunshine with temperatures in the 50s.
The chance of rain should return for Sunday with highs in the mid 60s.
If severe weather does occur on Thursday, KETR-FM 88.9 will have live severe weather coverage so that you know what's headed your way!

Stay safe, and stay tuned.
