Woman denied bond, alleged to have injured child

By Brad Kellar

Commerce – Bond has been denied for a Commerce woman, charged with injury to a child earlier this month.

Linda Hall remained in custody at the Hunt County Jail Wednesday in lieu of $200,000 bond on the charge. Reports indicate Hall was arrested on June 10, following a disturbance in the 2300 block of Bois' D Arc Street.

Two married couples were apparently arguing about a dog, during which time Hall allegedly obtained a baseball bat and threatened the husband of the other couple, who was had an infant child in a carrier. During the struggle, Hall was alleged to have pulled the child from the carrier, and the child's forehead hit a concrete step.

A cat scan was performed with no significant injuries reported.

Hall has now filed for a reduction in her bond.
