Hannah Kirby, former contestant on NBC's "The Voice,"  is still riding high on the motivation and fan boost she received from her television experience. Her debut Fire In My Soul album continues to garner the talented Sulphur Springs resident some much deserved attention.

Our guest Velvete Womack is one of the organizers of the 30th annual Bois d'Arc Bash in downtown Commerce, which will feature a performance of Hannah Kirby of "The Voice" at 7:30 Saturday night.  With an attendance of 10,000 people last year, Velvete says attendance may well exceed that this year.

Sulphur Springs entertainer Hannah Kirby is using her experience on "The Voice" as inspiration to work harder on her debut full-length record. Finishing in the top 8 finalists on NBC's Emmy winning talent show was just the spark Kirby needed to put together a brand new band, and head into the studio to record tracks for the upcoming "Fire In My Soul" album.

Paul Voss, the manager of the Commerce Chamber of Commerce, says the 30th annual Bois D'Arc Bash in Commerce may be the biggest yet, with Hannah Kirby, star of "The Voice," scheduled to appear on Saturday night, September 26 on the square.  Paul says the Bash -- which celebrates the native bois d'arc tree -- was the brainchild of ET English professor Dr. Fred Tarpley, along with Jim Conrad, Jerry Lytle and Rick Vanderpool.

Commerce Chamber of Commerce manager Paul Voss says Hannah Kirby of Sulphur Springs, who gained fame on the NBC television program "The Voice," will headline the annual Bois d' Arc Bash.  She'll perform on the downtown square Saturday night, September 26.  Paul says Polara Industries, a new local manufacturing company, is taking applications for employment at the Texas Workforce Commission office in Greenville.

A celebration was held in honor of Hannah Kirby, who had a very successful run on NBC's "The Voice." The Sulphur Springs resident and Texas A&M University of Commerce student was given the key to the City, had a proclamation read by Mayor Freddie Taylor declaring May 6 as “Hannah Kirby Day” and presented a bouquet of yellow roses.
