Lions set for High Desert Classic

By Kevin Jefferies

Las Vegas – A&M-Commerce basketball hits the road this weekend for the High Desert Classic in Las Vegas. This will be the first time in school history the Lions have competed in the High Desert Classic and are set to face Washburn and Cal State-San Bernardino in men's match ups. The men's team comes off a 1-1 road trip where they defeated Eastern New Mexico but dropped one to West Texas A&M. The men are 8-2 on the season, and look to finish up the year with a couple of wins as they are set for tip-off tomorrow at 6:30 and Sunday at 8, with all the action live here on 88.9.

The women's team is slated to begin action in Vegas next Tuesday, as they face Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist. The women are 4-4 on the season.
