Sherman – A Tom Bean man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for shooting at Sherman Police last December. 22 year old Bobby Lee Murphy pled guilty to two charges of attempted capital murder in connection with the incident. Last December, Murphy was shot by Sherman Police after a chase that ended at a gas station when the tires on his car were spiked and he attempted to flee on foot.

Judy Dodson Brown, Murphy's grandmother, is also still facing charges after she allegedly tried to mail drugs to Murphy in jail. Police intercepted the mail, and found numerous prescription drugs at Brown's house prescribed to various different patients from a hospital in Fannin County.
