Celeste community still grieving

By Bill Oliver

Celeste, TX –

Grieving continues in the Celeste community, a week after the kindergarten teacher at Celeste Elementary School was killed and her teenaged daughter critically injured in a three vehicle wreck on highway 69 in Kingston.

Funeral services for Robyn Little were held last weekend near Waco. Her daughter, Lauren, a freshman at Celeste High School, remains hospitalized in Dallas.

Celeste ISD Superintendent Collin Clark said a memorial scholarship fund in Robyn Little's name has been established at First Bank of Celeste.

Little had taught for five years and lived in the area for ten years. Last Friday's homecoming activities were postponed and many drove from Celeste to Waco for Saturday's memorial service.

Clark said a retired teacher is filling in until a new kindergarten teacher is found.
