Patrol cars back to black and white look

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Patrol cars in Greenville are looking a bit different these days. The department officially put its black and white vehicles to use for the first time Wednesday morning. The six Dodge Chargers were purchased in June, at $32,000 each, to replace the same number of aging cars in the municipal fleet. The Chargers replace six Ford Crown Victorias which each had upwards of 100,000 miles on them. According to Greenville Police Chief Harold Roseberry, the new black and white package will be more easily recognizable as a police vehicle.
