Murder trial set for Royse City man

By Brad Kellar

Royse City – Trial has been scheduled in an attempted capitol murder case. Johnny Joe Webb, of Royse City, received seven indictments of attempted capital murder earlier this year in connection with a shootout with law enforcement officers. Webb has pleaded not guilty. Hunt County Sheriff's Deputies had responded to a domestic disturbance call last November, when Webb allegedly fired multiple times at the officers from his residence. A tentative trial date has been set for Feb. 9, 2009 on all counts.
