Two injured in wreck, I-30 temporarily closed

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Westbound Interstate 30 in Greenville was closed for nearly an hour Monday following a three vehicle accident.

Two people were hurt when three 18-wheelers were involved in a Monday evening accident along Interstate 30.

A semi-tractor trailer clipped the back of a flatbed trailer truck near the 88-mile-maker. Then a double-trailer swerved to avoid one of the trucks and ran up on the embankment, with a portion of the trailer landing on top of the other 18-wheeler.

Two drivers were transported by ambulance to Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville with minor injuries. The crash closed the westbound lanes of the interstate for about 45 minutes.
