Cocaine bust made in area drug free zone

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – A traffic stop in Greenville leads to the arrest of 32-year-old Kendrick Dion Johnson, who was found in possession of illegal drugs in a drug free zone.

Johnson was also assessed additional charges of resisting arrest, search or transport and booked into the Hunt County Jail.

The Monday stop occurred in the 1800 block of Wellington Street, where Johnson was then observed trying to hide what was believed to be individually packaged containers of cocaine. Officers found the alleged cocaine in the suspect's pants.

The Cadillac was seized due to it being used in a felony offense. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested on unrelated charges.
