Hunt County – No arrests have been made or are expected in last Thursday's shooting death near West Tawakoni.
Hunt County Undersheriff Joe Knight said the investigation into the homicide is ongoing and at this time no charges have been filed pending an upcoming grand jury investigation.
43-year-old Michael C. Nix, of Quinlan, was killed during the incident. Sheriff Randy Meeks said the initial call involved an alleged intruder at a residence in the 1000 block of Running Bear Road. The alleged shooter was later located in Quinlan.
The grand jury is next scheduled to meet on Feb. 26.
