Boles ranks among most improved schools

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – A recent study by Children at Risk lists Boles High School as the fourth most improved high school in North Texas.

The Most Improved list was a part of the Houston-based non-profit organization's annual rankings of public schools across the state.

Twenty schools made the Most Improved list, which featured campuses that made the greatest gains in test scores and other measures over the past three school years.

Greenville was listed as the fifth most improved school, with Celina ranked 7th, Lone Oak ranked 8th and Commerce 14th.

Data used in the analysis included the percentage of students achieving TAKS Commended Performance standards, the percentage of ACT/SAT test-takers; and enrollment in advanced courses among others.
