– The deadline to register for the November 2 General Election is today.
Applications are available at county voter registration offices and can be printed from the Texas Secretary of State's web site. They are also available at some libraries and post offices.
Registered voters who have recently moved or changed their information will need to re-register.
While the race for Texas Governor has been the most publicized, some other top local contests include the race for the Fourth District in the U.S. House of Representatives, State Senator for District 2 and District 3 and County judges, among others.
Early voting starts in just two weeks.
