– Two Northeast Texas children are dead and two houses destroyed following separate fires over the weekend.
17-month-old Kendra Glynne Gregory and 4-year-old Claira Dawn Gregory were killed following a Sunday morning blaze at their home on Highway 69 near Trenton. Fannin County officials say their parents, DJ and Alicia Gregory and two other children in the family survived.
A space heater is suspected to have caused the fire, but an investigation is underway.
A single family home in Delta County was also destroyed Saturday night.
There were no injuries and a cause is sought. Firefighters from Cooper, Klondike and North Hopkins responded to fight the blaze, which occurred on Hwy 19 North near Cooper.
