Greenville – The body of a fallen Titus County soldier will return to Greenville Wednesday.

The plane carrying Staff Sgt. Chauncey Mays, of Cookville, is expected to land at 12:23 p.m.

A motorcade will follow Mays' arrival. He'll become the seventh area soldier killed in the war to be returned through Greenville's Majors Field Municipal Airport.

Mays was killed last week when his unit was hit with an IED in Afghanistan.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Fork Baptist Church in Alba. Visitation is Thursday, March 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery in Winnsboro.
