New CEO sought for local Board of Development

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – The Greenville Board of Development will have a new president and CEO by this fall as Ron Robinson plans to retire September 1, according to a statement issued Thursday.

Robinson was appointed by the City Council to the Board of Development in January, 2007 and assumed his current role a year and a half later.

Robinson had previously served for 20 years as the president and CEO of the Richardson Economic Development Partnership, the Metroplex Technology Business Council and the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. He was the driving force behind the concept of the Telecom Corridor in Richardson.

Robison is a former employee of Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he served for 17 years, more than half of which he served as Dean of Students.
