Sulphur Springs – The City of Sulphur Springs continues to explore ways to improve their downtown, this time through the assistance of grant funding.

The city council Tuesday night will consider applying for a Texas Department of Agriculture/Office of Rural Community Affairs grant that would improve sidewalks and allow for more ADA ramps. The funding comes through the agency's Texas Community Development Program (TCDP).

The city hopes approval of the grant would also help eliminate areas of slum and blight downtown.
