Hunt County – One woman is hospitalized following a Wednesday afternoon wreck involving three vehicles along Highway 24 near the Hunt-Delta County line.

Victims of the crash tell KETR's Cooper Correspondent Cindy Roller that the woman's vehicle was travelling eastbound when it reportedly swerved into the westbound lane, striking a Jeep.

State Troopers shut down the highway near the FM 2890 intersection at approximately 2:00 p.m. to extract the woman from her vehicle, and then have her flown to by air ambulance to Medical City Dallas Hospital. The extent of her injuries were not immediately know, although witnesses say she appeared to have hit her head on the inside front windshield, perhaps causing head trauma.

An SUV also travelling westbound behind the Jeep was hit as well. Drivers of those two vehicles were not injured.

Tags on the woman's vehicle indicate she may be from Greenville.
