No major injuries following dangerous chase

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – An Arkansas man is in local custody after allegedly stealing a car from Arlington and leading law enforcement on a high speed chase through three counties.

Several vehicles were reportedly damaged during the Sunday pursuit, after being driven into by Takayus Shamar Tucker, before he finally rolled the SUV he allegedly stole.

The chase ended along Interstate 30 in Hunt County after Tucker slammed into a sedan being operated by a woman from Daingerfield. Both were transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center where Tucker was treated and then booked into jail. The woman sustained non-life threatening wounds.

The 24-year-old Tucker is expected to be charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving while intoxicated-second offense.
