Hear her in Sacred and Familiar, a program of music rooted in the land, and music expressing the mystical. Enter the tonal world of Estonian Arvo Pärt, inspired to compose Fratres (Brethren) by the rituals and mysticism of his Russian Orthodox faith. Immerse yourself in the intangible with Debussy’s Danse Sacrée. Experience the joyful abandon of music drawing on folk melodies in Dvořák’s American Quartet, written during the composer’s time in the U.S. With Barbara Biggers, harp; Mark Miller and Yuko Mansell, violin; Ute Miller, viola; Elizabeth White, cello; Jack Unzicker, double bass Tickets are $10 for MVM members, $20 for non-members, and $5 for college students with valid ID.
