Fifth oil fraud suspect issued ten year sentence

GREENVILLE - Carl Tinsley Ratner is the last of five organized crime suspects to be sentenced after pleading guilty to his role in an alleged Wolfe City oil field fraud scheme.

Ratner got ten years in prison on four separate charges, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Three other defendants pleaded guilty to their alleged role in the crime. One had charges dropped. The defendants were alleged to have offered for sale interest in a local company to ten individuals in 2007.
