FAA investigating local plane crash

ROCKWALL COUNTY - A pilot is in good condition after crashing his plane early Sunday morning along the Rockwall-Kaufman County line.

Authorities say the single-engine experimental aircraft went down around 8:15 a.m. near FM 205. The pilot, 71-year-old Grady King of Terrell, was transported by air ambulance to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. The FAA will investigate.

WFAA-TV reports that King was also at the controls of another plane that crashed in Terrell two years ago. No one was injured in that incident.
